Full Time

In 2016 Karli decided to follow her dream, leaving the world of Project Management behind and DotDot Pet Care was born in memory of their first baby, Dorothy their dog.  'DotDot' would provide a true home from home, pet care experience and allow her to spend more time with her family.

Since the creation of DotDot, Karli has taken great pleasure in finding like minded people to join the team (now known as the #DotDotFamily) and expand on the services that DotDot provide. Karli has used the business as a platform to help several dog rescue centres and charities, which resulted in her family rescuing a puppy (Percy) from Cyprus in Jan 2019 and 6 months later she brought Percy's mum, Isla over from Cyprus too!  In 2021 the family also welcomed their 3rd Fur Baby- Bunny!  Firm partnerships have been developed with local rescue centres and UK based charities, Hull Animal Welfare Trust being DotDot's nominated charity.

Alice Kunkel

Pocklington

Full Time

Alice is a Pocklington home girl having lived here all of her life. She left the hospitality industry, where she was a manager for over 5 years, gladly trading in this role to spend time with loveable pooches, her own dog's and enjoy a better work/life balance.

If you ask Alice how she finds working in the great outdoors with all the doggy's, she will tell you with a smile on her face that even the rainy days are worth it!

She is a proud dog mum to Pepper & Olive, the beautifully crazy cockers and has grown up with both pets and working dogs as she comes from a background of game keeping, so she's used to having lots of dogs around, as well as a variety of different animals!  This upbringing means she is certainly not afraid of getting stuck in, wet and mucky.

Alice is into her CrossFit and trains hard - she has to be quick and strong to keep up with her Pock doggy's!

In 2019 Alice was given the opportunity to become 'Team Leader', responsible for the Pocklington & surrounding villages clients and walkers.

Maisy Maher

Market Weighton & Villages

Full Time

Maisy joined the DotDotFamily in 2017 as a client (we had been walking her whippets, Bolt & Blue for over 4 years) and her joining the team has been something we have been discussing for quite some time (but Covid got in the way), so it is fantastic that in 2021 she made the leap, as she knows exactly what a client needs and expects from their DotDot walker.
She is originally from York but has lived in Market Weighton since 2007.  Her previous occupations include Sailor (Royal Navy) ,Jailer (HMP Full Sutton) and Railer (conductor TPE) and she is now looking forward to working with the waggy tailers!
Maisy had already walked with the team for many years when not at work and met most of the Market Weighton dogs that she began to walk, so it all seemed pretty puurrffeeecct!

In her younger days she was very sporty and played a lot of football, tennis and hockey. A true lover of all pets but especially dogs - she has had springer spaniels in the past and is now owned by two whippets (Bolt - the black and white buffoon) and Blue (princess Blueberry).

Beverley Manager

Vicky Brown

Beverley, Brough & South Cave

Full Time

Vicky moved to Market Weighton in 2019, and lives with her partner, 2 children and her 2 dogs.

When she moved to Market Weighton she needed a dog walker (Vicky was working in Logistics and had done for over two decades) and used DotDot for regular dog walks during her working week.  The DotDot love struck! And she wanted to become part of the team instead of a client!

Vicky grew up within a 'mad house' full of animals!  She recalls always having at least 3 dogs, ranging from Spaniels to German Shepherds and most were all rescue dogs.  She has experience with small pets too, having owned rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and birds.  It wasn't unusual for 12/13 year old Vicky to go out and play on a weekend and come back home with a stray dog (and just occasionally she would get to keep it!!).  Her fur family now consists of Ralph a Cocker Spaniel and Reggie, a terrier cross.

Vic has steadily grown her Beverley client base and now manages a team of 5, also covering South Cave, Driffield and surrounding villages!  Vicky loves to keep fit and active, has a real passion for all animals and thinks working for DotDot is a dream come true.

Home Boarder

Leanne has lived in Driffield her whole life.  She has three boys and two dogs, a cocker spaniel named Mylo and a Chocolate Lab named Daisy.

Dogs have been a passion of hers for as long as she can remember!  Unfortunately her parents didn't have time to commit to a dog but Leanne didn't let this stop her! She would care for her relatives dogs and take her neighbour's dog out walking almost daily.  When she left home she got her first dog within 6 months and has never looked back!  By far, dogs are her favourite animal.
Another passion of Leanne's is photography and she has recently begun her own pet photography business.  Lockdown allowed her to pursue this further and recently she did her first official wedding event!

For the past 17 years she has worked in a Special Educational Needs School, where she has developed life long friendships with colleagues, pupils and their families.  Leanne has a multitude of skills from this line of work - Makaton being one! 2022 see's her joining DotDot and she is so excited for this change and cannot wait to become a member of the DotDot family.

Cat visits

Originally from Sweden, Mirjam has been based in the East Riding since 2014 and now lives with her wife Lucy and Mason the Labrador!  DotDot have been walking Mason for some time now and having been a client, Mirjam was so impressed with the DotDot service she asked to join the team!

Having grown up in the countryside she has a strong connection to the Outdoors and a love for animals, big and small.  The family kept a smallholding with a selection of animals: cats, chickens, goats, sheep to name just a few!  As well as the farm animals there were plenty of small pets in the home (guinea pigs, rabbits, gerbils and rats!).  While cats have always held a special place in her heart, the love of dogs came later and has grown to be a huge part of her lie.

Since moving to the UK Mirjam has tried on a few different hats: Au-Pair, stable-keeper, waitress and most recently corporate finance.  Despite varied occupations, the love for animals has been constant throughout her life.

Part Time

Carolyn was born in Beverley but has happily lived in Market Weighton since the turn of the century. She is married with one daughter and was employed for 24 years at BAE Systems. She worked in administration but after taking voluntary redundancy has learnt new skills working locally.

The family have a beautiful tabby cat called Alfie who is Carolyn's first pet. Thinking she was allergic to cats and not being very confident around animals, things have now gone full circle; there is no allergy and Alfie loves to sit and snuggle with her at every opportunity!

Carolyn met Karli when they became neighbours in 2007 and it's safe to say that they are now firm friends with lots of fun times being had along the way.

  • Loves reading & walking
  • Has a smile for everyone :)
