DotDot CPD Update!
On December 8th nearly all of the DotDot Team managed to make the Pet First Aid & Dog behaviour CPD event, hosted by The Wicstun Vet Hospital in Market Weighton.
This kind of continued professional development is vital in the roles that we undertake, taking care of your precious pets to ensure we are up to date with all the latest advice, recommendations and regulations in regards to pets health and best practice when taking care of our DotDot Family.
Not only did we get to practice hands on skills such as CPR, wound dressing and bandaging, but we also covered the following items;
- Group Management when on walks
- Moving injured animals
- Primary Vs Secondary surveys
- Emergency scenarios and call to actions (heatstoke, choking, poisoning, hypothermia, allergic reactions, seizures, RTAs)
We hope to never have to use these skills BUT it's always better to be prepared. Despite the dog walking industry being unregulated I have always strived to go above and beyond what is expected and set the standard for the best pet care possible. The team absolutely loved the event and we all left having gained new, updated best practice advice and tips from the amazing Veterinary team at Wicstun!
